It's a busy Monday back in the blog world, and today, I am catching up on our Spring Break. Last week, my husband and oldest daughter returned back to South America, where we lived for 3 years as missionaries, with some others from our church. They were able to reunite with so many of our good friends and also help some friends with some projects and work with kids. My heart was so happy for them, yet I longed to be there with them as they saw people we consider family.
Meanwhile, Brook and I had a yogurt date, saw my greats, then I worked Monday and Tuesday, and took Wednesday through Friday off work. My youngest daughter and I drove over to Pawhuska, Oklahoma to visit The Pioneer Woman land. It did not disappoint!!!
Hobby Lobby has their 4th of July decorations out!!!
Okay, so now on to the Pioneer Woman part of Spring Break!!
It was not too bad of a drive there. The drive home seemed a little harder, but it was all worth it!
Of course, we listened to this when we entered the state!
First stop of course!!
We ate a late lunch/early dinner.
It was all delicious...and 25 cent tea and lemonade!
Downstairs is the shopping area and restaurant and upstairs is this cute bakery and huge seating area.
Our hotel was across the street from the Merc.
Merc on the left, hotel on the right
The PW Boarding House is full for 2019 and it is located on the same side of the street as the Merc.
Next to the boarding house, there is a place to rent for events, well, actually for shindigs and hootenannies :).
We walked down the main street and explored a little bit of Pawhuska.
For the evening, we enjoyed our room and cookies we bought from the bakery. They were so delicious as well!

and early hours.
Much more on day two coming up tomorrow...including more food and the lodge tour!
I am so excited for part two tomorrow! What a fun trip. That food looks to die for. I love that you all lived in South America for three years are missionaries. We are going to go on a family mission trip this summer and I am super excited for it. I have never been on one, God is really stretching me with it. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
