Talking About it Tuesday ~ Amazon Fashion

 Good morning.  Thanks for your kind words yesterday.  Monday was a good day and I am encouraged for a new week ahead.  Yesterday I shared some random Amazon purchases and today will share some recent fashion purchases from Amazon.

Lace ruffle dress

This dress is so cute in any color!  I bought it in brown red and would be tempted to buy another one in a different color. 

Boho button midi dress

This is another darling dress that I would buy in any color.  And it has pockets!!!

Striped shirt dress

This is another dress that has pockets for the win!

Cap sleeve sweater

I originally ordered this sweater in beige, but then realized I have another sweater very similar to that color.  I liked it so much, I ordered this in dusty pink.

Gold hoops

Amazon is my go-to place for a lot of earrings.  I like these, although I wish the hoops were a little thicker, but I still wear these so many days of each week!

Compression socks

If this doesn't say I'm over 50, I don't know what would.  Honestly, I had to start wearing these when I was 30 due to blood clots.  From time to time when I get some leg pain or am traveling/sitting for a while, I definitely need to wear compression socks to ease pain in my legs.

2-n-1 Post: Amazon Prime/Hello Monday

Good morning blog friends!  I am sharing a few highlights from 2 link ups today. First up is Amazon Prime.  Today I have a few finds from 2025.  Tomorrow I will share fashion finds on Amazon.

Safety Key chain

I wanted to have an alarm I keep on me for safety reasons.

Cozy slippers

I needed some new slippers and these are cute and comfy!

Body brush

Anyone else out there dry brush?  My niece told me about this, so I try to do this several nights a week.

Cooling sheets

I ordered some new sheets last week that are cooling sheets.  I will see how they feel when it really gets warm.  I am thanful it hasn't been too warm yet!

Nail concealer polish

I heard great things about this polish on several influencer Instagram accounts.  This is a very neutral polish and it will last about 4 days without chipping, which is pretty good for me without using gel or dip.

Dance shoes

Most of you know I have been taking dance lessons the past 6 months.  I finally bought me some practice shoes.  They are really comfortable too!  

My weekend began by spending time with my great nieces and nephews.  I celebrated my great niece's 3rd birthday Friday night.

Me and one of her big sisters.  This girl always gives me the biggest hugs and I can't get enough of them!

I spent Friday night at my parents to help with my mom while my dad had somewhere to go.  I came home Saturday and it was torrential rains and storms all day long. So many roads in our area are flooded.  I am so thankful there is no rain in the forecast this week!  I was able to get a few things done at home and had some sleepy time tea in this mug I found while going through old things.

Sunday, I went to church and had community group that night. The in-between times were hard, as Sundays often are for me.  I cried a lot, but have realized to embrace all my tears and know they are a constant part of healing that is just part of my journey until Heaven.

Prime Purchases ~ October 2024

Shower Steamers

I always love to have a stock of these.

Bathroom Towels

It has been a while since I have replaced towels and it seemed like a good time for a fresh start.  I will get a few more sets to build up a new collection.

Ceramic Planter

This was on sale and I saw it decorated with Christmas items, but it can be used for so many things.  I bought a few to use as gifts since it was under $20!

Fire Starter

I shared recently on the blog about using my new fire pit.  That was the first time I had started a fire & decided these fire starters would help me in the fuutre!

3-n-1 Charging Station

This is one of my 2 favorite purchases last month!  This stand charges my phone and watch without having a cord!  If you have airpods, it will charge those too.  This was on sale under $15!

Vitamin C Cream

I am always a sucker for a new cream.  I have a few to use up before starting this one.

Eye patches

I am always trying to get rid of bags under my eyes when I don't sleep well, which is a lot these days. 

Salt & Pepper Shakers

I saw these this summer with the earlier Prime Days and finally bought some during this round of Prime Days.  I like the look and ease of using these salt and pepper shakers.

Puzzle Board

This is my 2nd favorite purchase from last month.  Have you seen these?  If you are a puzzle person, I recommend it!  It is a board for your puzzles which helps to not use your kitchen/dining table.  You can move it from room to room (it has a cover you can put over it) and it has a lazy susan underneath, so you can rotate the board!  It also has 4 drawers to help organize your pieces.

Hello Monday & Prime Purchases ~ September 2024

 Woo Hoo!  We made it to Monday and it is Prime Purchases recap from the month of September. This falls right in time for another round of Amazon Prime days coming again tomorrow.  Somehow, this doesn't seem like I had a lighter month of purchases.  I depend on Amazon too much apparently, but I am thankful for this convenience too.  Stay tuned at the end for the weekend recap.

Travel Jewelery Organizer

I bought a travel jewelry organizer a few years ago, but I have lost it some where along the way.  I found this one and think I like it even better.  It is compact and has the space for just what I need.

Flat Hair Clips

I liked the idea of having clips in my hair that are flat, however, I still struggle on how to wear any hair clip in a stylish way.  I think I need to watch some you tube videos, ha!

Stone Drying Mat

This was probably an extra purchase, but I really liked the look of this drying mat vs my other one.  This one is smaller, but it is working for me so far. 

IPhone Charging Cords

I feel like this item comes up at least every 6 months for me.

Cordless Table Lamp

I have eyed these for a while and got one half price on a sale.  I think these are such a handy invention!

Lounge Set

I posted a picture of me last week wearing this.  It is my new favorite outfit! I have noticed it goes on sale from tiem to time.

Long Sleeve Tunic Dress

This is my new dress for the fall.  I haven't worn it yet, but think I will enjoy wearing it with boots.

Makeup Brushes

I considered getting something to clean my old brushes, but I just got this affordable set of new brushes.  My old brushes needed to be thrown out and I will try to do a better job in cleaning these.

For the weekend re-cap........Friday afternoon, I went to John Mark's open house.  This is a popular store in Memphis that Sophie Hudson/Boo Mama mentioned as a favorite on a recent podcast episode. It inspired me to do some new decorating for Christmas.

 Friday night, Jennifer and I went to a music festival and I went back on Sunday night too.  Sunday, I met up with some friends from work and we listened to Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors perform.  It was really good.

Saturday morning, I made breakfast, which felt good to do since I don't do a lot of cooking anymore. This was a tortilla with 2 eggs, some cottage cheese, and bacon.

I spent Saturday at home, got a few quotes on a new water heater, ba humbug, and moved a tv into my room.  That really inspired me to clean up while watching Saturday football and the Yankees win.  I still have a lot to go through in this room.

I have a new great nephew who was born Saturday!  He had some complications and is in the NICU, but should be able to come home this week.  I went by to see the parents Sunday afternoon and had a good visit with them.
