 Good morning!  I am joining again with Fashion Files with a short post today.

I wore a new dress to church Sunday that I purchased from the most recent Amazon Prime Days.  It is comfy, lightweight and has pockets....a perfect transition dress for the season!

This is a lightweight long sleeve shirt that comes in so many colors and looks nice to dress up or down.

I went shopping with Brook Sunday afternoon for her birthday and it was fun to go into stores and see what the fall trends are.  It inspired me to look for some things online or see what a TJ Maxx/Marshalls has that is similar.  I did find these 2 sweaters on sale at Altar'd State that I bought.  I will style mine a little different though, ha!

Fashion Files ~ September 29, 2026

 Hi.  Due to me wrapping up posts from my epic vacation this summer, I have taken a pause from Fashion Files, but I am back today sharing some outfits from the past few weeks.

I wore some skirts in September to work because it was too hot for anything else.  I wore this flowy skirt I have had for years with a shirt from Loft.

This is the dress I wore to Brook's graduation in May.  It is so comfortable and comes with compliments when you wear it :).

This is a dress I bought for $10 at H&M a few weeks ago.

I wore this to church 2 weeks ago.  I had to work that afternoon, so I went pretty casual. I bought this shirt a few years ago at WalMart and the skort came from Costco.

We had a "Denim and Dots" theme for my work Mahjong event a few weeks ago so I dressed in denim on denim.  The shirt is from Old Navy and these are Democracy jeans.  They can be found on Amazon and are the dupe to Wit and Wisdom jeans from Nordstrom.

I wore this dress to work last week as it was still cool, yet is a fall color.

I subbed last Friday in a P.E. class so I wore an oversized shirt with the school logo and leggings.  Fridays are more casual at the school, plus it was homecoming spirit week and a P.E. class. I was definitely comfy all day.

Fashion Files ~ August 25, 2026

Good morning!  My post today is short and sweet with a little bit of jewelry fashion.

But first, here is a photo from the sunrise I saw yesterday morning.  I am spending Monday mornings caring for my mom so I am leaving my house early on these mornings. 

I am sharing a few jewelry pieces that I got on my vacation.  The Alaska state flower is a forget-me-not.  I was drawn to these because I love blue jewelry, but also the blue forget-me-not is also a major part of the tv show, Outlander.  It is present at the stones when the characters time travel.  They symbolize eternal love, loyalty and remembrance.  I bought this set of earrings and the charm, which I put on a necklace I had back home.

While on the cruise portion of my trip, I got interested in the charms the ship offered. I added a white forget-me-not, which symbolizes purity and innocence.  I ordered this charm bracelet once I returned so that I can add other charms to it.  It also is very easy to put on and off by yourself.  Some of the other bracelets I tried first had clasps that would require a second person to help put it on, so I am glad I found this one that works!

While I was on Bainbridge Island in Washington, I bought these new earrings.  One of my gold hoops bit the dust on the trip, so I bought this new pair to wear on my trip.

Fashion Files ~ August 18, 2026

I am jumping back in with a little bit of Fashion Files today.  I am sharing a few outfits I have worn lately and some from my trip.

We are in the midst of a 2 week heat wave and should resume to normal summer weather by the end of the week.  In the meantime, I am wearing anything to stay cool!  I wore this dress from Target Sunday to church.

Saturday, I ran errands in shorts I have had for several years and a sleeveless, navy shirt.  

Now to go back in time the past few weeks, here a few outfit pictures from my trip. Being gone 2 weeks, I clearly repeated some of my outfits and thankfully, was able to do laundry on day 5 of my trip to refresh a few things. The outfit below is what I wore on travel day from Vancouver to Seattle.  

This was my day as I was in Whistler driving back to Vancouver. I wore my Grizzlies shirt with fleece leggings.  Hard to believe I was wearing fleece leggings 2 weeks ago!

This was the day I drove from Vancouver to Whistler.  I am wearing my fleece shirt with leggings.  Underneath, I am wearing a Merino wool t-shirt that is a great layering shirt.  It is short sleeves and I think will be a good layering top for the fall.

 

I wore jeans and this shirt I bought at a boutique store last fall on a day of exploring Vancouver.  I paired it with my rain jacket.  It did rain later that afternoon and the jacket kept me warm and dry, along with a poncho I wore too.

This was a day at sea and I texted it to my sister saying, never have I felt looking more homeless on a cruise ship!  Alaska cruises are unlike any other I have taken in so many ways.  One of those is how people dress.  It is super casual.  For this portion of the day, I was in a t-shirt and sweatpants.

This is a Loft plaid I shirt I bought one or two seasons ago with my leggings on our day exploring Ketchikan, Alaska.

While in Juneau, I wore a short sleeve black shirt with my black leggings and also layered on and off my Alaska sweatshirt.

You will see these clothes on repeat throughout the travel posts!

Fashion Files ~ Amazon Purchases

Today, I am sharing some recent fashions purchased from Amazon recently.

This is the dress I wore to Brook's graduation. It is true to size, comfy and has pockets!

I love this shirt dress that also has pockets! It comes in different colors and was on a limited deal this week.

These jeans are super comfy and I love that the length is just right for me as a shorter person.  I purchased this in white, but it does come in blue denim as well.

This top is flattering with the stripes and neck line.  It also comes in other colors and solid colors too.

I have ordered two different short sets for the summer.  This is the first one I wore on Mother's Day.  This is super soft and I love the high neck.  It has pockets too!

This is the second short set.  The trend of pockets continues! Both of these come in multiple color options.

And last but not least, this is my new cover-up for this swim season.  It comes in black and white. I ordered it in black and received it yesterday.  I really like it! This is a perfect cover-up if you need one for this season. And you guessed it, it has a pocket!!

Fashion Files ~ May 19, 2026

 Hi friends!  I am sharing a few outfits I wore throughout the week on today's Fashion Files.

This was the dress I wore for work which is so comfortable and has pockets!  It is from Amazon here. Sneakers are from Wal-Mart. I like to wear sneakers with dresses, especially days when I am working at the hospital serving meals.

This is my other work outfit with a shirt from Loft 2 years ago and white linen pants from Shein.

Sunday evening, I wore this Loft shirt with Democracy jeans.  

My yesterday work outfit was casual on a Monday since I didn't work a full day at the office.  I bought this shirt from Amazon last summer and paired it with jeans. I bought the shoes from Amazon 2 1/2 years ago and they are still my go-to shoes for a lot of summer outfits.  They are currently on sale too!
