Hodgepodge ~ February 18, 2026

Hope your week is going well so far friends! I am linking up with Joyce for this week's Hodgepodge.

1. The Hodgepodge lands on Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent. Do you mark this season in some way? Will you be giving something up or adding something to your life in this Lenten season?

I don't abide by the Lenten season yearly, but I do think it is an honorable practice.  In the past, I have given up something, usually a food or drink.  I do love the idea of adding something to your life instead.  I read about this a few years ago on Erika's blog and it always stuck with me.  This year, I plan on adding something positive to my life.

2. Pancakes...are you a fan? Syrup or no syrup? Plain, blueberries, chocolate chips, bananas, or some other add in? Are pancakes on your menu this week?

I do like pancakes, but if given the choice, I would choose a waffle.  It has probably been several years since I have eaten pancakes.  I eat plenty of other breakfast carbs (enter sourdough...), but pancakes isn't a go-to for me.  I do like syrup, but not drowning out my food.  I also would love some strawberries for garnish if you're asking :).  No pancakes are on my menu this week.  But maybe, breakfast for dinner?

3. Tell us about a time recently when you felt 'spread too thin'.

This is not something I deal with too much anymore.  I often have a lot of little things on my personal to do list, but most are not on a time constraint.  I do feel this some at work because it seems all things are "urgent", but usually the pressure comes from others instead of within myself.

4. What's your favorite jewel or gemstone? In terms of your wardrobe would we find more gem tones, pastels, black and white, or primary colors?

My favorite is for sure topaz, which is the November birthstone. I am a November birthday!  I do like gem tones in my wardrobe along with black and white.  I am learning to throw in a little red in there too though.

5. What responsibility do you think is hardest about being in charge?

I take so much personally so if something goes wrong. Not only do I feel responsible for the issue, but also I feel like it all falls on me to fix the problem. This applies to the little things and bigger things.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I had lunch last week with a family friend and it was great to catch up with him.  He is from North Carolina, but was our pastor & on our missionary team when we lived in Bogota', Colombia (we all served with the same organization).  He and his wife and their kids now live in Norway and he leads an international church there.  He was in town speaking at a missions conference.  Sunday, I went to my old church to hear him preach Sunday morning and went back Sunday night too.  It was such good services and I also loved seeing so many old dear friends.  He brought me some Norwegian candy that is the equivalent to a Kit Kat in the USA.

Enjoy your Hodgepodge of a Wednesday!

Currently Hodgepodging ~ February 4, 2026

The temperatures are above freezing finally!  What a great way to celebrate by participating in Hodgepodge and Currently with our 2 great hosts, Joyce and Amy!

From this Side of the Pond

1. The Winter Olympics kick off on Friday, February 6th...on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you? (1= eh and 10=watching every event all day every day). What's your favorite Winter Olympic sporting event?

I love watching the opening ceremonies to the Olympics and seeing all the countries represented.  I know they are all competing, yet it seems like such a time of the world coming together too.

I enjoy watching the ski jumping because I am in awe of how people really do this.  Ice skating is also fun to watch!

2. In other sporting news, the Superbowl (American football's championship game) will be played on Sunday, February 8th. So tell us...what's your superpower?

Oh, I wish I could time travel (in the words of Huey Lewis, back in time), but I don't have that superpower.

3. Are you a romantic?

Unfortunately, yes.  Although, because it has been about 5 years since anything romantic has happened towards me, I would say I am less and less of one.  I just want someone to be kind at this point, much less romantic.

4. Blue cheese-yay or nay? How about feta? If you said yes to one or both, what's a dish you like that calls for one of these?

Blue cheese, not so much.  I do like feta cheese on a salad!  One of my favorites is spinach leaves, pecans, strawberry halves and feta cheese.  Adding grilled chicken to this is great too!

5. What's more important-doing what you love or loving what you do?

I think there has to be a balance.  Doing what you love gives you energy, but it can change and doesn't always pays the bills in regard to a job.  Loving what you do means gratitude for what is before you.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Tomorrow is my firstborn's 25th birthday!!  I love this girl so much and look forward to seeing her.

Loving
I am currently loving that it isn't January, ha!  I thought it was going to be okay, but mercy, I could have done without January 2026 for many reasons.  No thank you.  Here's to February being better.  Bye winter decor!

Baking/Cooking

Due to the cold weather and being at home so much, I have done some cooking lately:
Pork, veggies and sweet potato fries
Sourdough bread
Scrambled eggs with crumbled turkey sausage & cheese was for breakfast several days last week.
Chili

Watching/Reading

I finished these first 3 shows during the snow week and am in progress watching the other one.

Planning

I have been planning a few trips.  I have a blog trip, a trip to watch my daughter graduate, and an epic end of the summer trip that has been in the works for over a year!

Savoring

I have been savoring any night where I sleep all the way through more than 6 hours.  It rarely happens, so when it does, I am so thankful,

Hope you have a great Wednesday and thanks for reading!

Hodgepodge ~ January 28, 2026

 Happy Hodgepodge day!

1. I live in the south so we're pretty much only talking about the weather right now. Give us a weather report from where you live. Does the kind of weather you're having today affect your mood in some way?

After a snowy weekend, temperatures are still very cold here. I am not sure when I will be able to drive again.  Other than one night, I have surprisingly done well being by myself.  I have completed 4 days at home by myself.  I am so thankful for power and plenty of food!

2.  Avocados, kale, cauliflower and cottage cheese have all had their time to shine. 2026 brings us the year of the cabbage. Is this a vegetable you like? If so, what are some of your favorite dishes that call for cabbage?

I will eat avocados, kale, cauliflower pizza crust and cottage cheese mixed in things, but no thank you to the cabbage.  I guess I will be living in the past enjoying these other food trends!

3. Was a Cabbage Patch Doll a part of your childhood? Or maybe your children's childhood? What's a toy trend from your childhood you remember wanting for your own?

I think I had one, but it wasn't a huge part of my childhood.  I did go to the Cabbage Patch Babyland in Cleveland, Georgia with my nieces when they were little.  I had one baby doll I loved as child because her legs would bend and I could hold her on my hip!  I think she is still in my parents attic somewhere. Besides Osmonds albums and other music (which I have always loved), I remember really wanting a Merlin.  Do you remember these?  It was a great birthday when I had my own.

4. Something you've spent a lot of time doing lately?

Working puzzles, preparing food and watching tv!

5. Somehow it's the last week of January...sum up your month in just three sentences.

It has been a long month...Christmas seems a long time ago. It has been a cold, lonely month.  I am finally feeling better from my 6 week upper respiratory infection though!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Thanks to Joyce for this great link up week after week!
Have a good day!

Hodgepodge ~ January 21, 2026

Happy Wednesday and Hodgepodge day friends!

1. Ice skating, skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, playing in the snow, or a snowy walk...which winter activity do you choose? Have you done any of these activities so far this winter?
A snowy walk sounds nice, but I haven't done any of these items as we haven't had any snow yet.  Usually, we don't have snow until January through March.  I will admit, as much as I love to watch the snow fall, I sure hope we don't have much this year as I don't want to be snowed in at home.

2. Everyone is posting pictures from ten years ago on their social media sites so let's jump on the bandwagon too. Share one photo and one thought to go with said photo from the year 2016. And maybe everyone isn't doing this, but many are and we're going to be part of the fun.

I posted some highlights from my 2016 yesterday, but here is an additional picture from that year.  I shared yesterday that Brook and I went to NYC.  We went to a taping of Live with Kelly.  This was during the time when she was looking for a co-host (pre Ryan Seacrest).  I still watch Live with Kelly and Mark every day, so this was fun for us to be at a taping of the show.

3. What's a trend you hope disappears in this new year?

Hmm...I wish it was easier to get concert/event tickets.  It seems like even if I click at the time something goes on sale, very few seats are left.  Although, I still remember lining up at a ticket window to buy tickets too, so I am also thankful for the convenience of online purchasing.

4. 'They' say there's a day for everything and January 21st proves it. National Granola Bar Day. Do you like granola bars? How about just regular granola? Do you like bars of other kinds?

I am not a fan of granola or granola bars.  But, I do eat a protein bar every day!  My girls even laugh at me saying, "I will just eat a bar". I don't like nuts in bars, so that limits a lot of bars.  My favorites are Built, Quest or Barebell.

5.  A frozen lake, a trickling stream, a raging river, or a deep well...which one describes something about your life right now? Elaborate as much or as little as you like.

This is such an interesting question!  The 2 that stand out to me are a trickling stream and a deep well.  So often I feel like I am in a deep well.  I think that comes from living along and feeling lonely so much.  Even though I am around people often, I still usually feel pretty lonely.  A deep well seems like a lonely place!  The good thing is that I am not stuck in a deep well.  I also relate to the trickling stream, because I feel like I am also slowly beginning to rebuild my life.  The stream usually leads into something bigger and sometimes you don't know what is right around the bend.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Last week, Harry Styles announced he will have a new album release in March and all signs point to a new tour in 2026/2027.  Harry Styles is a musician that began with the group One Direction.  I have taken my daughters to see him twice in concert previously in Nashville and I am a fan too.  I have loved watching so many reels about this album & tour announcement! I have sent my daughters no less than 20 reels probably about this.  I know they think I have too much time on my hands & they are not wrong.

Enjoy your day!

Hodgepodge ~ January 14, 2025

 Hi and Happy Wednesday!

1. What kind of winter person are you-snow lover, fireplace snuggler, winter adventurer, or indoor hibernator? Elaborate.

I do enjoy watching snow fall.  However, I don't want to be snowed in alone for days. I love sitting around a fireplace & the thought of having someone to snuggle with would be nice. I am not much of an adventure person in the winter or summer, ha!

2. The Pantone color of the year is cloud dancer, described as a gentle, billowy off white shade. The color symbolizes 'peace, clarity, quiet reflection, renewal, and a soft reset'. Of the terms just listed which do you need most in your life this winter?

All of the above please :).  Actually, renewal and clarity sound nice.  I need a reset too, but more of a hard reset and not soft, ha!

3. Every cloud has a silver liningon cloud ninehead in the cloudsstorm clouds gathering, or cloud of suspicion...which 'cloud' idiom do you most relate to currently? Explain.

I lean towards storm clouds gathering or cloud of suspicion.  I seem to still encounter some storms and when it's not stormy, I am suspicious!

4. coconut, cauliflower, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, onions, ranch dressing...of the white foods listed, which would be the hardest for you to give up? Do you like all or any of the foods on the list?

Cottage cheese since it is the one I incorporate into more foods these days.  I also really like a grilled onion, but I don't eat them that often.  I don't like coconut, cauliflower in its raw form, mayonnaise or ranch dressing.

5. Thomas Wentworth Higginson is credited with this quote-

"How many lessons of faith and beauty we should lose, if there were no winter in our year."

Agree or disagree? Tell us why.

Agree.  I think that there is a season to everything.  We sow and reap and things grow and bloom after winter.  Winter is a beautiful time to see more things clearly, just as the trees are bare and we can see more.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I am so thankful to have friends I can text/call.  Yesterday was a day I didn't need/want to be alone at home.  I walked with a friend and we got dinner.  Since we ended around 7:30, it seemed too early to go home so I met up with another friend for frozen yogurt and it was good to catch up with her too.  I am so thankful for both of these women who also go to my same church.

Have a great day!

Currently Hodgepodging ~ January 7, 2026

I hope 2026 is treating everyone okay.  Mine has had some ups and downs, but upward and onward starting with the first 2026 Hodgepodge with Joyce!

1. What are three words you would use to describe your 2025?

Brave

Travel

Tears

2. I ask this question every January, and I always get comments about how we shouldn't be banning words. This is fun and games so just play along : )

Every January 1st since 1976 Lake Superior University has published a list of words they'd like to see banished from the Queen's English. Words may be banished due to misuse, overuse, or just general uselessness (go here to read about how the words are chosen). Here's the list for 2026-

67 • demure • cooked • massive • incentivize • full stop • perfect • gift/gifted  • my bad • reach out

Which one (if any) do you use most often? Which one of these words/phrases would you most like to see banished from everyday speech and why? Is there a word you think should have made the list?

I use perfect a lot to describe my agreement with something. I would say 6/7 is just general uselessness, although the little ones giggle over this a lot!

3. What are your nightly rituals? Is that different from your 'ideal' nightly ritual? If so what's your ideal?

My nightly ritual is usually looking at my phone.  My ideal nightly ritual would be to have someone to talk to in person and kiss goodnight.

4. January 6th is/was National Bean Day. Do you like beans? Which one is your favorite? Last thing you ate made with beans?

I do not like beans.  My family was going to make taco soup one night last week, but they said they were going to add beans.  We made spaghetti instead!  I don't like beans in soup, chili or as a side dish.  That includes baked beans and green beans.  I do like lima/butter beans though.  That is the exception.

5. Are you easily embarrassed? Elaborate.

Yes.  I was just embarrassed last week.  It is not my favorite.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

How exciting to join with my friend, Amy, as she begins hosting Currently this year.  Today I am sharing what I have been loving, resolving, planning, eating/drinking and watching /reading.

Loving

I am loving a clean space at my house, yet still have twinkle lights.  I am loving the hope of potentially catching up on a few things I need to do during these winter nights.

Resolving

I am resolving to eat a little healthier and do better at meal planning.

Planning

This leads me right into planning meals!  One thing I would like to do is organize my recipes. This has been on my to-do list for a while.  I have so many recipes saved on my phone via Instagram or screen shots of ideas I see.  Now the challenge is how to organize these.  Ideas?  Do y'all still refer to pinterest for organizing your recipes?

Eating/drinking

And this leads me to what I am eating/drinking!  Right now, I am trying to eat food that I have in my freezer.  I really want to eat more from this and then re-stock.  I have plenty of food here to not eat out for a while or grocery shop for things outside of basics.

Watching/reading

I am not really reading anything at the moment.  I want to watch the new season of Emily in Paris.  I also started watching the new season of When Calls the Heart on Sunday.

Have a great day friends!

Hodgepodge ~ December 31, 2025

How fun to complete the year with a day of Hodgepodge!

1. Did you make resolutions or set goals for the year we're waving goodbye? How did that work out for you? Will you set any goals for this new year, new season, or new month? Share one or two if you'd like to share.

I think my goal this time last year was to survive and I did just that!  I feel like my goals for each year are very similar in theory.  2026 will be brought to you by the letter F...faith, family, friendships, finances, fitness.  These are all areas where I want to improve in 2026. Oh, and have a lot of FUN!

2. When did you have the most fun this year?

Yesterday, I did my yearly recap of 2025.  It was a great time to reflect personally on 2025. In terms of just having fun, I really think it was the night Jenn and I went to see Darius Rucker in concert.  I loved everything about it.

3. What's a song or song lyric you'll associate with 2025? Tell us why.

The Truth by Megan Woods

This song speaks such truth and is so encouraging for any of us to hear.  I heard it for the first time this year. Below is the chorus:

The truth is I am my Father's childI make Him proud and I make Him smileI was made in the image of a perfect KingHe looks at me and wouldn't change a thingThe truth is I am truly lovedBy a God who's good when I'm not good enoughI don't belong to the lies, I belong to YouAnd that's the truth

Another song that has given me such encouragement this year is I Knew You Were Waiting by Aretha Franklin and George Michael. This song makes me smile when I think there is someone out there waiting on me.

Like a warrior that fights and wins the battle

I know the taste of victory

Though I went through some nights consumed by the shadows

I was crippled emotionally

Somehow I made it through the heartache, yes, I did

Oh, I escaped, I found my way out of the darkness

I kept my faith (I know you did), kept my faith

When the river was deep, I didn't falter

When the mountain was high, I still believed

When the valley was low, it didn't stop me, no no

I knew you were waiting, I knew you were waiting for me

With an endless desire, I kept on searching

Sure in time our eyes would meet

And like a bridge that's on fire, the hurt is over

One touch and you set me free

No, I don't regret a single moment, no I don't

(I know you don't) Looking back

When I think of all those disappointments

I just laugh (I know you do), I just laugh

When the river was deep, I didn't falter

When the mountain was high, I still believed

When the valley was low, it didn't stop me, oh

I knew you were waiting, hey, I knew you were waiting for me

So we were drawn together through destiny.

I know this love we share was meant to be, oh

(Knew you were waiting) Ooh, yeah

(Knew you were waiting) I knew you were waiting

4. Best (or a favorite) bite of something delicious you tasted this year?

I had the best Key Lime Pie when Jenn and I went to the beach in July.  We bought it at a local place on the way in Alabama.  I heard about this recommendation from Sophie Hudson from The Big Boo Podcast and she was so right about this pie shop.

5. What do you want to do more of in the new year? Less of?

I want more hugs, laughter, peace of mind, and financial stability/peace so I can provide for myself and my daughters.  I want to speak kindly to myself. I tend to do this towards others more than I do to myself.
Currently, I want less of coughing! Since losing my voice on Thanksgiving, I have struggled with a deep cough that sounds like I have smoked for my entire life.
I also want less of gaslighting from people. Ugh.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I jumped onboard and played with Chat GPT with these pictures of my daughters with a Norman Rockwell painting vibe.

Today, I am having an eye exam and then hopefully hanging out with some friends tonight at the same parties Jenn and I went to last year.  Say a little prayer of strength for me as go into these parties alone this year.  Whether I am home by 10pm or after midnight, I know I am going to be okay and continue to get stronger in 2026.

Happy New Year's friends!

Hodgepodge ~ December 17, 2025

Happy Hodgepodge day!  Thank you Joyce for hosting!

1. What's one thing on your to-do list that you want to get done, need to get done, or that must get done before the year ends?

I have paperwork I would love to sort through, including a stack of legal papers and also recipes!

2.  December 17th is National Maple Syrup Day...are you a fan? Do you like maple flavor in other food items such as candy, cookies, donuts, oatmeal, hot toddies, coffee?

I do like maple syrup, but rarely eat it.  I would certainly like it in anything sweet though!

3. Time magazine names a person of the year every year.  The tradition started back in 1927 with a 'man of the year' but has since changed to recognize not only an individual, but also to consider the impact of a group, movement, or idea that most influenced the year. The selection is not always someone or something good (think Hitler in 1938 and Stalin twice).

This year they've named The AI Architects as their 'person of the year'. What say you? Is this a good choice, an obvious choice, a logical choice? Who do you think should have been named person of the year?

I realize AI is a part of the world we are living in now, even though I don't understand it much.  That being said, I'm not sure that it is worthy of being person of the year.  However, I am not sure who I would nominate.

4. What's a city, state, or country you've visited that you never care to visit again? Tell us why.

Las Vegas is the city that comes to mind.  I have heard concerts at the Sphere are really cool, but the city itself feels dirty to me.  I have been there a few times.  Each time was a fun trip, but I don't think I would choose to go back.

5. Next Sunday (December 21st) marks the first day of winter (or the opposite if you're living down under). What's one thing you love about this new season?

I love winter, even though it feels like 10pm at 7pm, ha!  I love that the trees are bare and you can see so much more.  I love the crips mornings and cozy evenings.  I love the hot beverages and comfort foods.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Hodgepodge ~ December 10, 2025

Good morning friends!  We are rolling into the 2nd week of December with another edition of Hodgepodge with Joyce!

1. Do you struggle with the commercialization of the holiday season? What helps you keep your focus when the season’s busyness and commercialism start to take over?
I don't think I get too caught up in the commercialization of the holiday season.  I don't over schedule myself and will put boundaries around my time.  That helps me focus on what Christmas is really all about, which is the birth of Jesus, God becoming man, to give us hope and comfort that he felt hardships in this life too.

2. What's one small thing you want to savor before the year ends?
I want to savor time with my girls.  I haven't been with both of them at the same time since this summer, so I love time when I am with them both.

3. December 9th is National Christmas Card Day. Do you still send Christmas cards? If so does yours include a photo or is it a more traditional card, or maybe homemade? How do you feel about the tradition of exchanging cards at the holidays? If Hanukkah is the holiday you celebrate in December do you send cards to mark the occasion?

I sent out family cards for years with photos. I don't mail out a card anymore, but  I still enjoy getting cards from friends though!

4. What's your least favorite holiday related task? What's your favorite?

My least favorite task is taking the decorations off the tree.  My favorite is watching my girls on Christmas morning.

5. Let's do a little holiday this or that?

  • shopping or wrapping
  • shopping
  • baking or decorating
  • a little of both??
  • eggnog or wassail
  • I have never tried wassail, but I did try eggnog as a teenager, but haven't had it in years.
  • real tree or artificial
  • For the majority of my life, I had a real tree.  I got an artificial tree about 8 years ago and will always have an artificial going forward.  I actually just bought a new one last year!
  • turkey or ham
  • I like both, but for Christmas, ham.
  • white lights or colored lights
  • I like both and usually have white lights.  However, my new tree has both lights so I am currently looking at colored lights.
  • ugly sweaters or matching pjs
  • matching pj's, although I haven't done this in years
  • peppermint or cinnamon
  • cinnamon please!
  • presents Christmas Eve or presents Christmas Day
  • Most presents are opened for me on Christmas Eve, but for my girls get both!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

A few weeks ago, I had quite the moment with myself and the Lord.  After I had moved into this new place, I was organizing my jewelry.  So much of it had become a tangled mess despite my efforts to avoid that.  I spent much time trying to de-tangle the mess.  It was much worse before I took this first picture.  Slowly, and then through tears, I began to un-knot all the tangles.  I felt like I was literally watching a picture of my knotted life become a little more untangled with each strand.  One by one, with much perseverance, the chains separated and the knots were gone. I feel like this has been my life the past few years.  It has been full of knots and tangles and slowly, they are falling away.  I am thankful for the way the Lord has began to untangle some of the messiness of my life and I know there is much more to do.

Hope you have a great day friends!

Currently Hodgepodging ~ December 3, 2025

It is always a joy to link up with Joyce for Hodgepodge & Jenn for Currently!

1. What does it mean to have the 'holiday spirit'? On a scale of 1-10 how is yours this year? (10=off the charts, 1=still looking for it)

I think the holiday spirit means enjoying the sights, sounds and scents of the season.  It means thinking of others and a season of giving.  I think I am about an 8 as of now, so that seems pretty good to me!

2. What's your favorite character from a (December) holiday-themed movie, book, or TV special? Tell us why.

Right now, I would say George Bailey or Carol Brady.  George Bailey from "It's a Wonderful Life" because he wondered what life would have been like if he had never been born.  Then he saw the value of his life.  This is a reminder that each of us has value of life.

Regarding Carol Brady, do you remember the Brady Bunch Christmas episode? Carol had laryngitis.  I have had laryngitis since last Thursday, but it is finally getting better!

3. Do you like gingerbread? Are gingerbread houses part of your holiday tradition?

I am not a fan of gingerbread.  I have tried assembling gingerbread houses, but have never been successful!

4. Much of our vocabulary is determined by where we live or where we grew up. What say you-

sprinkles or jimmies? lightning bugs or fireflies? soda or pop? sneakers, trainers, or tennis shoes? sub, hoagie, grinder, or hero? freeway, highway, or motorway? frosting or icing? sauce or gravy?

sprinkles, lightning bugs, soda, sneakers & tennis shoes, sub, interstate, icing, sauce

5. Share a favorite holiday memory from your childhood.

I have so many sweet childhood memories.  Each Christmas, my siblings and I always took a picture in front of the Christmas tree holding a present.  We always had a real tree until I was probably in high school.  We always took a night to drive around and look at Christmas lights.  My grandmother would go with us.  She lived on a very limited budget as a widow.  I remember she would treat us to a Frosty or something from Wendy's fast food. We also would go every season to something downtown Memphis called The Enchanted Forest. It was a walk through indoor event of Christmas decor and enchanted forest creatures. At the end, we sat on Santa's lap and gave him our wish list!  Every Christmas morning, my grandparents would come over and see what we got.

6.  Insert your own random thought here.

I scrolled through some random pictures from lately and found this one.  During my move, I had some random clothes in my car.  At work one day, I shared that I had them and our 2 interns tried on wedding dresses!  First, I love these 2 interns we have had this semester.  I have a few wedding dresses...the one on the left was the wedding dress I bought with my first engagement.  I loved it and never got rid of it, even though it was never worn.  (I was engaged to someone else before I got married).  The dress on the right is the simple dress I got married in while standing on a trail in Montana. I even have another dress that I wore during a vow renewal ceremony.  It was fun to see them try on the dresses and they filmed a reel!

That is some randomness!  Now for Currently....

Loving
I am loving my new rental home!  I am so, so thankful.  I posted yesterday an update on my housing. I have lots of space & I think I know where most things are at this point after being here for 3 weeks now.

Hoping
I am hoping for a fresh start as I am in a new place and will move again next summer.  I am hoping to rebuild in so many ways. I am hoping for a peaceful December and sweet time with people I love.

Doing

Wearing
Like most other places, winter weather is here so I have quickly gone to sweaters for work and sweatshirts when I am at home.  I bought a new pair of leggings recently from Amazon that have pockets and are lined to keep me warm.

Seeing
I am loving seeing all the Christmas lights!  I love seeing them on the tree and a few other places I have them in the house.  Here are a few pictures...I will be doing a Christmas post next week.  Also, I love seeing all the Christmas lights on houses as I drive at night.

Such fun posts from Joyce and Jenn!
Hope you all have a great day!
