Tuesday Talk ~ Pioneer Woman / Part 2

Good morning!  Today, my Tuesday Talk is all about Pioneer Woman and Pawhuska, Oklahoma.  If you missed part 1 of my Spring Break recap of this, click here.

Day 2 began with breakfast at the Mercantile.
Enjoying the hot chocolate
This is the belgian waffle with a side of eggs, bacon and sausage.  You can choose 3 toppings for the waffle and it is served with 4 different bottles of syrups...orange zest, sea salt caramel, regular and vanilla cinnamon.
We then did a little more shopping at the merc while it wasn't crowded.

We went back to the bakery and bought some cinnamon rolls to go.  We brought a cooler with us on the trip and took home so many leftovers!!!
Enjoying her drink and I enjoyed looking through cookbooks.
Y'all, there are so many cows in Oklahoma!!  We tried to wave at all of them :)

We drove out for the lodge tour and passed this landmark for Pioneer Woman fans...
We made it to the lodge and it was so fun to explore the space.  They let you look around in all the rooms.  There are bedrooms in the back of the house and a huge extra kitchen and storage rooms they added just 2 years ago.
Below is the pantry
In the big kitchen in the back, there are drawers and drawers of so many things.  There was one whole drawer of just tongs!  She also had drawers in the main kitchen with her personal items to use while taping, like mints and a hair brush.
This is where cowboy Josh lives and is where the Food network stays during taping.
Y'all, it was so windy in Oklahoma.  The wind was crazy the night before and kept me up for hours.  I guess the locals are use to all the wind.
After the visiting the lodge, we went back into town (she lives outside the town of Pawhuska...she really does live in a frontier in the middle of nowhere!) and visited her pizza place for lunch.
Where else would you find Pioneer Woman showing above a bar??
At this point of so much eating, we shared the smallest size pizza, which was delicious.  The not knots were all they are cracked up to be as well.  I bought some to bring home to freeze and serve later.
We concluded our trip in Tulsa and explored a park, The Gathering Place.  If you're ever there, it is a cool place and would be so fun for kids!  Check out their website online.

And like any good road trip, we made a stop to Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A!
Believe it or not, all my pictures didn't even make it on the blog, but hope this will give you a little insight to the world of the Pioneer Woman.  Thanks for coming on the trail with me!
