Weekend Wrap Up

Happy Monday to you!  Here is a re-cap of some of our weekend.

The girls are enjoying riding bikes again.  We just need a second one and helmets now. Here is Brook riding through the neighborhood.

Friday night, a Jr. High group from our church went to the Redbirds game and Avery and I went as chaperones.

Saturday afternoon, a neighbor dropped off these bags of Easter candy for the girls.  We love our neighborhood! 

Ashley & the kids came over for us to dye Easter eggs.  Pearce and Adeline hunted for eggs too. 

I found this remote control truck for Pearce.  He loves all things remote control! 

Saturday night, we went to Levitt Shell for an Easter Eve concert that our church hosts.  It is always a fun night with friends and we were thankful to be back for it this year.

Friday Favorites

It's Good Friday.  Our Christian faith is based upon the hope that we serve a risen Savior.  So thankful for this hope in this life.  As we go about our day, our weekend, and days ahead, may we always remember the hope Jesus provides.

A reason I didn't blog last week because I had a sick day in bed & that slowed me down for the week. 

On a bright note, the weather was cooler last week and I was able to wear my favorite UGG boots one more time!! 

We volunteered with an organization called Gift of Life, which provides meals and help for families who come to Memphis for medical procedures.  We delivered a meal to the Fedex House for this boy and his mother from Honduras.  The boy had open heart surgery just a week prior and neither speak a word of English. 

My spanish skills were very rusty ;( 

I took Brook and Maylen to do a little shopping Saturday. 

Sunday, Brook showed her art work creativity on the bulletin at church.  She is very good at lettering. 

I have been binge watching The Office this week.  You know it's bad when Netflix ask if you are still watching because you probably have watched enough according to them. Yep, I'm still watching!

And because it never gets old or not exciting when I hear Huey on the radio.... 

And apparently I use to buy Huey t-shirts at every concert because while unpacking some things from my parents, I found 5 different concert shirts!!

Easter Decorations

With Easter just a few days away and my lack of blogging the last 2 weeks, I wanted to go ahead and share our Easter decorations at the new home with you.  Then I'll get caught up on life on another post!

Front door

This isn't Easter, but I did get a welcome mat for our front door, which we needed!

My mom gave me that Easter plate.  And I barely recognize those young people in those photos! :)

Weekend Wrap Up

Hello rainy Monday, and ....

Is it just me or does it feel like last week was Christmas??

Friday, I treated myself to my pre-summer pedicure and also got a manicure.  Stateside, I am normally not a big manicure person here, but I did this time because of an event we had on Saturday. 

Saturday, we went for a driving lesson in the neighborhood.  Isabella in the front, Brook in the front, and me in the back!!  When we are outside the neighborhood, I sit on in front though :).

I did some spring cleaning around the house Saturday. 

Our realtors hosted a party for us Saturday night at our new home.  They provided all the food and drinks and we had a great time.  I didn't get any photos with guests here, but here are some before photos! 

We re-arranged our furniture in the den and decided we like this better for now! 

We are loving our back porch for entertaining! 

We received a few gifts, including these beautiful plants! 

Sunday after church, Avery took his canoe out on the lake. 

The girls got their first ride in it!  We also had a friend bring his kids over to fish, so it was nice to be able to share our neighborhood lake with friends. 

Sunday, our good friends, Andy and Rachel, had their first baby boy and of course, we went to see him at the hospital!
