Weekend Wrap Up ~Galentines Party

Wow, these weekends come and go quickly.  I somehow feel like this year will fly by now that I am busy every day.  I am trying to make the most of each day, but still struggle with my own sin every day. This keeps me striving for humility as I trust in Jesus with my day-to-day life.

Our Friday night was low key at home watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics!

Saturday was rainy and after a trip to the grocery store, I enjoyed staying home catching up on many things here. Saturday night, Brook had a Galentine's Party (Valentine Party for her girl friends :)).

We ordered pizza for dinner.
I made these strawberry brownies for dessert.
I also made this yummy treat for a snack.
A friend brought these beautiful mini cupcakes
They played a few games.....
This was a cute What's on Your Phone game.
A Galentine's word search
There was lots of laughter!
Breakfast Sunday morning before taking all the girls to church

Sunday was church, a few errands and a Hallmark movie for me.
It's a brand new week....here we go!!  (giving my self a pep talk:))

Friday Favorites ~ Birthday Edition

Woo hoo!  We made it to Friday!  Yes, I get a little more excited about weekends now whether I have plans or not. Here are some favorites from our week.......
ONE

We celebrated Isabella's birthday Monday and I was so thankful to have the day off work to be with her.  She had breakfast in bed, we went to lunch with my parents, she did some shopping and we watched a movie.  It was a great day!

She of course chose her favorite movie, Sound of Music, to watch. We made it about half way through of the 3 hour movie & will finish it this weekend.

TWO

Isabella left this note in my car one morning before work:)

THREE

I have been trying this week to make my desk at work feel like a second home since I will spend just as much time there as I will at home.  Once I get a computer and phone, I will take a finished picture of my desk.

FOUR

It was national frozen day, so why wouldn't I go get yogurt?? We had a family night getting yogurt this week and buy one get one free made it so affordable.

Happy Weekend!!

Belated Weekend Update

Good morning!  Yesterday, I had the day off work to stay home with Isabella for her birthday.  I'll post a few pictures from that later this week.  Meanwhile, here is a belated update from last weekend:

Friday night was watching one of Avery's favorite movies, "Groundhog Day" in honor of Groundhog Day.

This sweet note was on my bed when I arrived home from work.  80 hours are in the books!

For Super Bowl Sunday, we kept it simple with leftover brownies from Isabella's party, carrots, chips and queso, and sausage, cheese and cracker plate made at home.  It was perfect and we enjoyed the halftime show and I enjoyed just sitting in the chair for a few hours.  It was also good to see the Eagles win and their public testimony of Jesus after the game.  That was inspiring to me.

Happy Tuesday!

Well, last night she sang for the last time, "I am 16 going on 17" because today, Isabella is 17.

She had friends over Saturday night for a get together.

We are so thankful for this girl and her courage and thoughtfulness.  We love you Isabella!

And just a tribute today as well to my beloved grandmother who went to be with Jesus 10 years ago today.  We love and miss our Moutie every day!

Friday Favorites

TGIF!  I haven't used that phrase in a while, but I am so thankful it is Friday!

Here is a look at some of my week:

WORK

I am getting in a routine driving to work with the time I need to arrive in time and my route.  I tried several last week to see which way is the least stressful :).  I have discovered listening to podcasts.  Do you have any favorites you would recommend?  I have a few I enjoy already, but would love to hear more suggestions.

I think we may try to go out to eat one night a week, because momma needs it.  It gives a break from food prep and cleaning at home, and gives us intentional family time to sit at the table together.

Due to some health issues, sitting at a desk all day (which is what my job requires) can be hard on the legs, so I ordered this foot hammock.  It is a favorite so far!

After a week of training, we had lunch catered one day, which was good and a nice break to not pack my lunch.

I have been bombarded with so many new log-ins and passwords, that these requirements are making my brain tired.

This is a picture of my view from the parking lot as I head home.  That is the control tower and the airport in the background.

In other news.....

I did enjoy the beautiful views of the moon this week.

And, we went to hear Tim Keller speak.  I just began listening to his sermons on my podcast rotation and really enjoyed it.

I hope you have a good weekend!  I am looking forward to rest and doing some things at home too.
