Friday Favorites

First....
I'll share my decorations with you on Monday.

My first favorite of the week, I have no photos of to share.  We had friends over for dinner 2 nights this week!! So that also means I cooked 2 nights this week :).  It felt good to finally meal plan and cook again.  I need to get in this routine and make good habits in this area.  We loved having our friends in our home.
My 5th and 6th grade teacher from elementary school was in town this week and a small group gathered to be with her this week.  I didn't know everyone in the group beforehand, but I enjoyed my visit with my teacher, who was my favorite teacher ever.  She is still just as great today.
We first all gathered in the lobby of the beautiful Peabody Hotel, one of the most famous hotels in the south.
We then went to the famous Rendezvous restaurant.  When Prince William and Prince Harry were in Memphis, this is where they ate. It is famous for their ribs, but if you want pulled pork, we have a few other Memphis favorites.
It is spring break and we have been pretty lazy. Brook wanted something from Target, so we went there and Isabella wanted to take a fitness class from a boxing place, so she did that.
Silly as it may seem, I received my first magazine in 4 years with my name on it at my address!  It was a fun moment.

Our plans are low key for the weekend, but we do hope to see the new Beauty and the Beast movie.
Enjoy your weekend!

Lynn turns 50!

My sister turned 50 this week and we celebrated last weekend with a family lunch.
We had a Mexican theme
My niece, Nicole, hosted.
Happy birthday Lynn!

Meanwhile, at the same time, Crawford got her lunch.
I took this photo of our crew there.

Park Day with Pearce

Last week we were able to watch Pearce one day and we took him to our park and to the lake. He had fun and we did too seeing him have fun.
 waving at the ducks
running down the hill
skipping rocks
swinging
piggy back ride back to the house
from both girls
hammock time
exploring the back yard

I am thankful for our neighborhood where we access to this beautiful scenery.

Random Happenings

Happy Tuesday!  When I blog, I prefer to do so first thing in the morning, so I delayed this post until today because my Monday morning got away from me.  First world problems....I spent the morning with a service guy here trying to fix our hot tub with no luck.  Anyway, here are a few updates of random happenings around here.
The girls and I had dinner at Chick-Fil-A while Avery was working late one night.
Our weekly visit to our favorite frozen yogurt place, Menchies.
Since I haven't posted house pictures in a while, so here is a picture of our back porch.
Kitchen update....wood flooring will go on this floor (and into our dining room, breakfast room and den).  We will smooth the ceilings and complete the update of lighting.
These are the new cabinets, range, microwave and countertop in the kitchen.  Behind the range is the new gas line.  We will cover this wall in tile as a back splash.
Friday night, we went to our first Lacrosse game.  It was a local high school where one of our friends husband is the coach.  Here I am with Gardner and Rachel.
And crazy enough, we had a little snow on Saturday night, March 11th!!
This weekend we had our friend, Leah, and one of her friends spend the weekend with us.  We took a walk to the lake in our neighborhood Sunday for a family photo with Leah.
We also visited Ikea.
This appeared on my Facebook flashback yesterday.  4 years ago we were approved.  It seems like yesterday.

Friday Favorites / Weekly Random Update

Happy Friday!

Instead of a Friday Favorites, I'm basically sharing some highlights of our last week, many which were favorite moments :)

Last weekend, I hosted a launch for selling Rodan and Fields, where I learned a lot about the products. If you are need of anything, check out my website:

Ashley and her kids came over and Isabella and Pearce brought in some sticks for the fire.

Pearce also came over Saturday and we watched him for a few hours.  He and Brook colored together.

The girls hung their hammocks and it was fun to see them playing outside.

It still always fun to hear Huey on the 80's station.  And I am hearing him more....now that I know he is coming to town and I can't go. :(

The highlight from last week was time with my greats....(how I lovingly refer to my great nephew and niece. )
Brook and Campbell

Crawford

Of course, I love seeing their momma, my niece, and I was also able to see my nephew that day too, which is always a nice treat.  We talked & laughed about how I was overly obsessed with them when they were babies.

Love

Hope you enjoy your weekend!
