Weekend Wrap Up

Our weekend was fun and busy!

Friday night, we went to the Memphis in May BBQ Festival

(more on that in different post)

 It was fun to get a glimpse of the prince and princess at Pippa Middleton's wedding over the weekend.

The girls and I enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market Saturday morning.

Maylen spent Saturday night with Brook while Avery and I went to a friend's house. Here are the girls before church Sunday.

 Sunday, the girls and I had lunch at Ashley's, then we took a family walk to watch the sunset that evening.

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day with family in Mississippi.  The babies were dedicated at their church, then we had lunch and dinner hanging out at my sister and brother-in-laws house.  It was great to be with everyone again.

And this is what Mother's Day is all about.  I love those girls.  

And this is a throwback from Easter, but Happy Mother's Day to my mom and sister too!  I am thankful for a great mom, mother-in-law, grandmothers and other special women who have influenced my life.

This weekend was the annual Latino Festival and this year honored Colombia.

Random Week Catch-Ups

Today I am sharing a few random photos from the past 2 weeks.

It was actually cool enough last week that we had a fire one night.

Always good to hear Huey on the radio.

We had dinner at our Texan friends house last Friday and had amazing brisket.  I brought some home that Brook had for lunch Saturday....with a brownie. :)

This week, we had empanadas at the Colombian restaurant with my parents.

A highlight of the week was meeting Juan Carlos Botero, who is the son of Ferdinand Botero, a famous artist.  We have been to his museums in Bogota and Medellin.  Botero is from Colombia, however, neither the father or son live there now.
