Randomness from our past week:

I painted Brook's room.  This was the before picture and a little bit of the first paint color.  She didn't like it, so we changed the color.

Brook helped too. 

I attended a women's retreat last weekend with ladies from my church.  Food was good, place was pretty and relaxing and the speaker was fantastic. Here is a picture of the room where I stayed.

I came home and played with this new app that draws pictures you take. For example: 

After my mind had been blown and stretched last weekend, our pastor spoke to our bible study group Monday morning.  Just to give you an idea of the information we heard..... 

We went out for a family dinner Monday night.  I texted these pictures to Edwin to show him what driving in Memphis looks like! 

We made 2 trips to the orthodontist this week, so we have a sore mouth in the house.  Brook got braces!

Monday, we went out for Brook to have some steak because of all the upcoming dental work she is having. Tuesday, we went to a freinds house.  Wednesday-church, Thursday and Friday - I am thinking breakfast one of these nights, and not sure about the other.

Friday Favorites

This girl got her drivers license permit this week!  OH MY!  This means every day I am getting in the car with a brand new driver.  So far, we are spending just a few minutes every day riding in the neighborhood.  Baby steps people.  We were so happy for her though, and we went out as a family to celebrate at lunch together at Waffle House! :) 

Brook had her play Tuesday night and it was fun to see her get experience on stage.

It's the little things in life.  Like, every week, I look forward to garbage pick up from our house.  This week was particularly exciting because after 7 weeks of being in the house, we got rid of all our boxes finally!  We had been gradually adding them to our garbage bins each week.  

We also started painting this week, but may go in a different paint color direction, so more on that later.

Local Theater

Brook has been taking a drama class this semester and had a performance last night of the play they had been learning.  She did a good job and it was good experience for her to be on stage again.

Tuesday Slacking

I need a weekly theme called Tuesday slacking because I am not doing so good on Monday blogging. But hey, that's okay :).  Here are some St. Patrick Day decorations and a few other random things from our weekend.

A fun throwback in honor of Beauty and the Beast.  We went to see the movie and loved it! 

I used this new mix to make waffles Saturday morning.  They were delicious and packed with protein. The box tells you options of how to add more protein when making them. 

 Sorry y'all.  This never gets old.  This is one of my top 2 Huey songs. 

Speaking of Huey, Avery took Brook out on a date Saturday night for hamburgers and to the Memphis Grizzlies game (her first NBA game).  Brook texted me this picture from the restaurant.  She saw this Huey album on the wall and thought of me :).

She spent some time here Sunday afternoon reading a book before small group. 

Sunday afternoon, Isabella went by Starbucks and got their new spring cup, which was nice to see. 

After Starbucks, we had some time before Isabella went to her small group, so we went to Target.  Isabella loves wearing my old sorority t-shirts.  This is one from 1990 :)
