Good morning! I am joining up with Joyce today to document a day in the life. I chose my birthday, Tuesday, 11/11!
I have been off work this week and woke up to this view of my kitchen. Pretty calm, right? Ha!
I made me a cup of hot chocolate...in my disposable cup.
Had a protein bar for breakfast
Turned my heat up because it was 62 in the house when I woke up!
I listened to Huey Lewis most of the day!
This sweet friend stopped by to bring me a drink and a cookie.
It was 11:11 on 11/11!
I met my parents for an early lunch and had breakfast food. I had sourdough toast, egg omelette with onions, turkey sausage and avocado with salsa on top and fruit. It was delicious!
I took a load of stuff I had packed from my old house to the new rental house.
My sweet Isabella sent me flowers!
My co-worker gave me Pretzel Twists from Trader Joe's. I stopped by Starbucks to get my free treat for my birthday. I opted for egg bites and actually had them Wednesday morning for breakfast since I knew that was moving day.
I walked next door to get my hair cut in the afternoon. I am so thankful for my neighbors!
I had a great face time that morning with Brook and then some facetime calls with some greats in the evening. This sweet boy sang to me and I was grateful as he was the only one to sing to me and he did it unprompted :)
Wearing my 11:11 bracelet
That evening, I went to a friend's house and her son made some amazing brisket!
There was a good spread of appetizers and desserts.
Love these people!
Love my Jenn and love when she meets more of my friends!
A few friends had left by the time this picture was taken, but these are all friends I either go to church with or had at one point.
I had lots of phone calls and texts from friends and then of course the facebook / instagram messages and sweet messages from you all!
Thank you so much for the birthday love! Outside of one phone call with some not great news about my closing, it was a great day. I always call this day my Happy New Year as I am beginning a new year of life. I am ready!!!
Awww what an awesome birthday! You are blessed and sending you love and strength for your big move!
ReplyDeleteHope all is sorted with the closing. Those snafus can be stressful. It sounds like you had a good day and were showered with love as you should be on your birthday. I love your bracelet! And the impromptu birthday song. Wishing you a wonderful year ahead!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your birthday was a good day. You can tell from your post that you are loved by many!!
ReplyDeleteVery smart to have disposable cups and to save your Starbuck's for moving day! Now is the time for ease and simplicity! So glad you got to eat with your parents and then had that delicious fave brisket for your dinner. So nice!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day, aside from the not so great news and the stupid people whose names we won't even breathe. Let's come up with some more nicknames! 🤣 I'm so glad I got to be a part of your day...fun fact: I almost sang to you and stopped myself. Now I wish I had done that, too. I'm sorry I didn't! Love you, sweet friend. xoxo
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday to a fellow November gal. My special day is 11/1. You had, as we would say in the south, a jam-packed day for sure, but it sounds like a great way to spend a birthday. I do hope your closing is going smoothly since your phone call. So good to make new friends on this fun link-up.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you. What fun to share your birthday for a day in the life. Looks like you have a good bunch of friends and they honored you well. How sweet that the little guy serenaded you with a Happy Birthday song! Next door neighbor who does your hair! Fabulous. It was nice to read your day in the life.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you were still able to make your birthday special in between moving. You sure have some sweet friends! All your birthday treats look so yummy.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! I do love the get the free treats on my birthday too.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness to the kitchen but exciting times with the move.
