What's Up Wednesday ~ September Edition

Well, it's not Wednesday, but since it is the last weekday of September, here is my 2 day late monthly blog post of What's Up Wednesday  Friday :).  I have been off on vacation, hence the delay.

What We're Eating This Week.............

This is fun because basically we ate food on vacation :)

Monday - lunch at Disneyland, dinner at Red Robin

Tuesday - lunch at California Adventure Park, dinner at Disneyland

(it was a hard day :))

Wednesday - lunch at Chick-Fil-A (because food ain't cheap at Disney!), dinner at LAX airport

Thursday - lunch snacking at home, dinner was out eating BBQ because momma was so tired

Friday - who knows....maybe order pizza?

Saturday - again, who knows?

What I'm Reminiscing About...........

We just returned late Wednesday night/early in the morning Thursday from a 6 day trip to California. It was fabulous, and more on that every day next week!

What I'm Loving..........

The freedom to travel to and from somewhere in my home country.  I don't take that for granted anymore.

I am reading the book Seamless for my bible study, which has been great so far.

the dryer because I have lots of laundry to do!

What I'm Wearing.........

I am wearing jeans most days with lightweight, long sleeve transition tops, but I'm ready for boots!!

What I'm Doing This Weekend..........

I have a few small things to do, but mostly enjoy being at home organizing things from the trip.

What Else Is New...........

Isabella has her drivers license now. 

First time driving alone

 We have been in our home 9 months. Last week, we had lunch with our former neighbor and saw inside our old house. 

 I've been on my first vacation since returning from Bogota.

 We are so enjoying our new sofa & new pillows.

Campbell & Crawford ~ September 2017

Yesterday, the girls and I were able to watch the babies for a few hours.  Of course, we took a ton of photos!!

Crawford....Hi there!  I am a happy baby with little to no care in the world.  Be happy too!

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday was Avery's 45th birthday!  

We started the day with breakfast I cooked for him....sausage, scrambled eggs and french toast muffins.  Then I made him peanut butter cookies (his birthday dessert request).

Avery spent some time outside scouting for deer (although it was hot!), helped me by taking Isabella to her school class so I could attend bible study, had hot dogs for lunch, some time to himself in the afternoon, then we all went to dinner.

We ate at Babalu.

And had birthday dessert there too!

Also, a happy birthday to my niece Nicole who also had a birthday yesterday.

Weekend Wrap Up & Randomness

Happy Monday!  Today I am sharing some highlights from last week & our weekend.

Last week, I was a substitute teacher for a Prek-K class taught out of a friend's home.  I took Brook along to help me.

 Brook's Jr. High intern moved last week and we met her for breakfast one morning.  She has been so great and Brook will miss her so much.

I took the girls to an exhibit called the Compassion Experience.  It is where you walk through an exhibit to experience what life is like in a 3rd world country. 

 We walked through the story of a girl who lives in the Philippines.

 Isabella got some experience driving on the interstate!

 Saturday evening, Isabella babysat & Avery & I went to dinner.  We stopped by some friends house & I was able to hold their 5 month old for a little while.

Currently, Bruno Mars concert is the most popular tour of any artist.

 Avery & Isabella went to the concert this weekend & had a great time.  This was Isabella's first concert & she loved it!  I was so excited for her & it was all Avery's idea to take her to this.  He bought her tickets back in February for her birthday, so she had been waiting a long time for this & I think it was worth the wait for her :).

Delta Fair 2017

It's fair season & I've always liked the fair.  I have memories of having "Fair Day", where we would  dismiss from school early and have a half day of school.  I remember the Mid-South Fair where the fair was connected to the local amusement park, Libertyland, so we had double rides!  There were also lots of buildings to go in and animals to see.  I have many memories of going to the fair, however, my most memorable would have to be Avery and I went to the Mid South Fair the night we met, almost 23 years ago.

I haven't been to a fair in years, and this year, we went to the Delta Fair.  I still like the fair, but was once again reminded how expensive everything is!!  The fair has some rides, but it seemed to be mostly food stands.  Here are some photos from our time there last week:
