Prime Purchases ~ May 2022

Today, I am taking a cruising break to link with Tanya for Prime Purchases.  It seems I have quite a bit from last month.

Multi Plug Outlet

I ordered these to have extra outlets for the cruise.  However, since we had 2 rooms, we ended up not needing them.  Instead, I gave one to my college girl and will give the other one to my upcoming college girl to use in her dorm room.

Waterproof Pouch

These were ordered for the cruise as well and these came in so handy!  We used these while climbing the falls and I think they will get some more use throughout the years.

Iphone Charging Cords

I feel like charging cords make a prescense here every 6 months or so.  They are just good to have on hand & my daugher needed one.

Gold Rectangle Earrings

I got these cute earrings and have enjoyed wearing them the past few weeks. I would recommend these!

Chiffon top

I ordered this top in this color (it comes in many colors) and have worn this once.  I received so many compliments.  I will wear it again with some white jeans.

PopSocket

I ordered this pop socket and sadly, it has already broken, so I may be avoiding these for a while.

Dress

I saw this dress on another blogger's page and tried it.  It is a cute, casual dress that I wore one night on the cruise.

Drinking Cups

We have been using plastic, restaurant cups for a while so I needed some new casual, every day glasses.  I like these and they won't break!

Enjoy your day!

Cruise 2022 ~ Day 5

Happy Monday!  My weekend was low key.   I am feeling good and went out to see the new Top Gun movie yesterday.  Like everyone else has reported, I thought it was good and worth seeing in a theater.

So, I am back with cruise updates :).  Today I am focusing on Day 5, which was my favorite port and excursion.  Last week, I have some earlier posts about the trip.

Day 5 - Cozumel, Mexico

Watching the sunrise from the balcony isn't a bad way to get any day started.

We got off the ship around 10:30 and there were several other ships docked at this port.

We took an excursion to a beach where we did paddleboarding and snorkeling.
This was my first time to paddleboard.
Isabella is quite good and even has her own paddleboard that she uses at college.
The rest of the crew did pretty good too.
I did stand a few times and only fell in once.  It was fun to try a new experience.

After about 30 mintues on paddleboards, we snorkeled.  It was a good feeling to push past my fears and be able to stay under water for more than 5-10 seconds!  I had tried this years before and couldn't get the hang of it. (on a side note, they had their own photographers who sold us these pictures from both adventures).

Afterwards, we had quesadillas, guacamole and while in Mexico, a margarita.  It was all so good.

We cleaned up and went to dinner and a show.

After a rest, I headed out alone to the 80's dance party.  It didn't start until 10:30, so this was my late night!  It was fun to hear the music, see the people and do a little dancing.

I'll wrap up on Wednesday with cruise food photos!  There is enough of those for one post, ha!

Cruise 2022 ~ Days 3-4

Happy Friday!  I am thankful to see Friday come so I am closer to regaining society after having Covid.  I had never even tested for it until a few days before our cruise.  Yesterday, I highlighted days 1 & 2  of our cruise that you can see here.  All my favorites are cruise related this week and next!

Today, I am highlighting days 3-4 of our cruise.  With all the pictures I took, there will be more posts next week, but I want to have a record of the trip here on the blog.  Trying to keep some of this brief too!

Day 3 was our first port day - Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Arriving at the port

When in Jamaica......
Yeah mon.....
We went to a beach area for a little bit.

The main highlight of the day was climbing Dunn's River Falls, which is the big attraction there.

Cleaned up for a casual dinner

Day 4 was our second port day at Grand Cayman.  At this port, we have to tender, which means we get on smaller boats which carry us to the port.
Here is a picture looking back at our ship and the tender boats.
Our ship, Carnival Horizon
We explored on foot there.
We found a neat little spot to hang out for a little while.
The beach was one of the most beautiful places I have seen....such clear water and clean sand.

That night, we cleaned up and went to dinner.
Unfortunately, Brook's finger got caught in a door, so she was hurting, but thankful it wasn't any worse.
After dinner, there was a silent disco on the deck.
Everyone is issued headphones and we had 2 channels of music to switch between.
It was super fun and even found more ice cream!

Next week, I will wrap up the last 2 days of the cruise.

Have a great first weekend of June!
